Your files and your shell. One window. FileFerry transfers files over FTP, FTPS, SFTP, WebDAV, SMB and S3 — and opens a full SSH terminal on the same server. No switching between two apps, no typing the address and credentials a second time. Written natively for macOS. No Electron, no cloud account, no sign-in. TRANSFER • FTP, FTPS (explicit AUTH TLS), SFTP, WebDAV, SMB and S3 • Two panes side by side, local and remote • Servers in groups, several connections per server • Copy, move and delete, whole folders included • Moving on the remote side in one step, without the detour via your Mac • File permissions by checkbox or octal • A dialogue on name conflicts: replace, skip or stop • Refresh directories automatically while an upload runs • Every connection reopens its last directory, along with window size and column widths FOLDER SYNC • The list first, the work second: per row both sizes, both timestamps and the proposal • Only what you tick is transferred • Direction switchable, to the server or to local • Exclusions per connection, by name, extension or path • Deletions happen only after an explicit confirmation WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG • Every transfer is retried up to three times before it counts as failed • After an upload the size on the server is verified, and on SFTP a checksum as well — the server's own confirmation is not proof • Transfers go to a side name and are renamed only after passing the check. If the line drops, your existing file is untouched • Whatever finally did not get through lands on a list that survives quitting the app • At the next launch you can retry it — or discard it. Nothing is deleted on the server • If the local file changed in the meantime, FileFerry stops and says so instead of sending a different version OBJECT STORAGE • S3 has no directories — FileFerry shows you a tree anyway • The endpoint is yours to set: Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze, MinIO, Garage • Files above 5 GB go up in parts and resume where they stopped • Unfinished transfers sitting invisibly in your bucket, taking up space, are reported when you connect SHELL • A full SSH terminal on the same connection • Several terminals per connection as tabs, all on a single login • Snippets: the commands you keep typing, sorted into categories — insert them or run them straight away • Terminal type, character set and a command after login, per connection • A colour scheme per connection, so you can tell production from a test system at a glance EDITING • Open files on the server in the built-in editor • Or hand them to any app on your Mac — saving writes them straight back NOTHING HIDDEN • The session log shows every line of every session, exactly as it goes over the wire • Optionally a log file on your Mac for troubleshooting, filterable by level STRICT ABOUT WHO ANSWERS • On first contact FileFerry shows the SHA-256 fingerprint and asks • After that it is checked on every session. If it differs, the connection is refused — there is no "connect anyway" button • Passwords, passphrases and confirmed fingerprints live in the macOS Keychain and are removed along with the connection • Self-signed certificates can be confirmed and later removed again in the settings • If you want, an app password protects your credentials and locks on idle • App sandbox, no exceptions, nothing listens on a port BACKUP AND RESTORE • Back up servers, connections and credentials to a file • Encrypted with a password if you want • Restoring adds and updates, it never deletes APPEARANCE • Light, dark or follow the system • Thirteen accent colours • Thirteen languages: English, German, Danish, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean — switching without a restart
