Get a drum to the note you want, with both heads working together. HeadTune listens to each hit through your iPhone's microphone and tells you what to do next. WHOLE DRUM (PRO) Pick the note you want the drum to sound and how high the edge should ring above it. Hit the center, then hit near a lug. HeadTune reads both, shows each against its target on a meter, and says how far to tune each head: "Batter: down a quarter step. Resonant: up a half step." Each head moves the other's pitch a little, and the advice allows for that. Make the changes, hit both again, and repeat until it says Tuned. MY DRUM SETS (PRO) Set up your own drums: each one's type, size, and the note you want it at. Then tune them one after another: tap a drum, tune it, and Save & Next Drum takes you to the next. For another tuning of the same drums, a jazz one and a rock one say, duplicate the set. LUG MODE Get every lug on a head even. Hit an inch in from lug 1, then from each lug in turn. HeadTune says whether to tighten or loosen it and by how many hertz, and moves on by itself once it's in. It keeps going round until every lug matches. ONE HEAD Tune a single head to a note, like a tuner. Hit the center and see its pitch, its note, and how far it is from your target.
