At a coastal water, follow the day's real tide curve and the next high and low. At a river, see reported gauge height, discharge and temperature when available. A gauge has no forecast, so the line after its last observation is held, not predicted. Weather, tide, gauge and buoy coverage is for the United States and depends on nearby reporting stations. Keep a private catch log with photos, species, length, weight, place and notes. Your log is yours, and it exports to CSV. Browse the bundled species reference and seasonal tackle suggestions without a signal. Fishing rules open your state agency's own regulations, license and stocking pages. HookPoint never restates the rules. Verify with your state agency before you keep anything. Back up with iCloud is optional and off by default. If you choose it, your saved catches, photos, spots, home water and preferences are mirrored to your own private iCloud storage starting the next time HookPoint opens. An optional local fishing reminder is also off by default: choose an hour for one notification when tomorrow looks good at your water, using already cached data.
