A small adventure connecting Japanese kanji compounds. A free game to enjoy alongside Japanese study, with no registration. This game lets you enjoy and explore familiar kanji alongside Japanese study. It is not a structured Japanese course and does not guarantee learning outcomes or exam coverage. Kanji, readings and definitions stay in Japanese; some Japanese knowledge is helpful. Choose a kanji from the left, down or right path to place after the current kanji and form a Japanese compound. Tap a path’s kanji to move the explorer that way. A correct answer defeats the enemy and opens the next room. Your chosen kanji becomes the next prompt. Points increase every five correct answers. One wrong answer ends the adventure. You cannot move up. There is no time limit, so take your time. Answers start at 100 points. From answer six, the value increases by 50, then by another 50 every five answers, up to 1,000 per answer. Speed gives no bonus. Scenery, enemies and music change as you go deeper. The iOS app includes the game, pixel art, music and meaning data. Questions, answer verification and rankings require an internet connection. There is no registration or in-app purchase. Ads may appear after an adventure on the result screen. All game features are available regardless of ad permission or consent.
