Learn Drum Pad teaches drum patterns on a pad kit you play with your fingers. Each lesson is one short pattern. You learn it slowly, note by note, then play it in time with the music. How the lessons work • 15 lessons in 3 chapters: First steps, Groove builder, and Fills and flavor. • Start with a kick on every beat. Work up to a rock beat, four on the floor, boom bap, dembow, funk and your first tom fill. • Each lesson says what you'll learn, how to count it, and which hand or foot plays each sound on a real kit. • Listen to the pattern first and watch the grid follow along. Colors count the beat Every bar has four beats. Red is 1, orange is 2, yellow is 3 and cream is 4. Notes, steps and the count-in all take the color of the beat they fall on, so you learn where each hit belongs in the bar. Two ways to practice • Step by step: no timer. The outlined pad is the one to hit, and the lesson waits until you hit it. • Play along: notes fall toward a line in time with the music. Each hit is rated Perfect, Great, Good or Miss, with how many milliseconds early or late it was. • Pick a speed, turn the guide sounds and metronome on or off, and count in "1, 2, 3, 4" before the first bar. Stars and progress • Earn up to 3 stars per lesson. The results tell you exactly what the next star needs. • New lessons unlock as you go. Track XP, levels, your practice streak and achievements in Profile. Free Play • 12 pads: kick, snare, clap, rimshot, closed and open hi-hat, three toms, ride, crash and cowbell. • Pads are colored by drum family (kick, snare, hi-hats, cymbals, toms) and play the moment your finger lands, with haptics tuned to each drum. • A metronome from 40 to 200 BPM. Beat Maker • A step sequencer for your own beats, from one beat up to four bars. • Add or remove a beat or a bar at a time, or duplicate the last bar to make a fill. • Start from seven presets: Rock, Rock with fill, Boom bap, House, Trap, Reggaeton and Funk. Reset to the last preset at any time. Record and share • Record Free Play and Beat Maker with one tap. The app records its own audio, so there's no room noise, and the metronome is left out. • Play back, rename and share recordings, or find them in the Files app. Details • Every sound is synthesized on your device for low-latency playback. • A timing offset setting for Bluetooth headphones. • Light and dark appearance. • Works on iPhone and iPad.
