Omekashi is a private app for a group of friends who are into clothes. There is no feed of strangers, no follower count and nothing to go viral. You make a group, hand the code to the people you want in it, and that is the whole audience. Eight people, maximum. WHAT IS IN IT Fits — post what you wore. One photo, a caption if you want one, and six reactions from the only people whose opinion you were ever after. Cop? — put up something you are thinking about buying and let everyone swipe cop or drop. Then find out whether the group agreed with itself, and which pieces split it down the middle. Guess — one cropped detail a day. A seam, a sole, a button. Name the brand. Get it right two days running and it starts paying more. Closet — what you own and would lend, trade, or are just showing off. Ask to borrow something and the owner says yes or no. Grails — the piece you keep going back to, with what it costs and how close you are. Finder — whether something fit the people built like you, from what they actually logged. Lint — the name is the joke. Lint comes off your clothes, it is worth nothing, and it piles up whether you meant it to or not. Everything you do here earns some. Each group has its own board, starting at zero, so joining a new one does not mean joining a race you already lost. POSTS LAST A WEEK Fits, Cop? pieces and Guess puzzles are deleted after seven days, photo and all. It keeps the app about this week rather than about an archive nobody reads. Your lint does not go with them. One thing outlives its week: the fit your group votes best. That one is kept, photograph and all. Whoever posted it can delete it whenever they want. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION Every post carries the group it was made in, and every screen checks you are in that group before it shows you anything. No email address, no phone number, no real name, no location, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. You can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app.
