Polar is a strategy board game reimagined on a circular board. Forget the 8x8 grid. Polar is played on five concentric rings — the Pole at the center, then rings B, C, D, and the outer rim E — each divided into 24 wedges. Movement, capture, and strategy all work differently when the board curves back on itself. THE ARMY Each side commands 20 pieces: - 1 Prime — your king-equivalent - 1 Omni — your most powerful piece - 2 Arc - 2 Radial - 2 Vector - 12 Clone Every piece type moves and threatens differently around the rings, and the Pole itself is special: it has no color, and standing on it lets your Arc or Omni switch sides. The Vector can jump through the Pole and make a quarter turn on the far side. Clones can trade up into more powerful pieces mid-game. Learning how these pieces interact with the circular geometry is the heart of Polar's strategy. HOW TO PLAY - Play online against opponents around the world, or share a code to play a private match with a friend - Challenge the AI at three difficulty levels - Pass-and-play locally on one device - Use the built-in interactive tutorial to learn the rules, piece by piece, at your own pace - Play with a shot clock (adjustable, 15 seconds by default) for fast-paced games, or turn it off for untimed play Win by checkmating your opponent's Prime, or force a draw under Polar's draw conditions. Polar is free to play and includes ads. An optional one-time purchase removes ads permanently. If you love deep strategic board games and want something that isn't the same old square board you've played a thousand times, give Polar a spin.
