Practice Proof - Practice Log

"Did you practise?" "Yes!" Practice Proof settles it kindly. Start a session and put the phone near the instrument. Practice Proof listens and counts only the minutes it actually hears an instrument or singing. Breaths, page turns and short rests count; a long break does not. At the end you see both numbers: the minutes heard, and the time spent. MADE FOR PARENTS OF MUSIC STUDENTS • A daily goal per player, set to whatever the teacher asked for • A timeline of every session: when the playing happened and when it went quiet • The teacher's assignments (pieces, scales, études) with a weekly target, and each session tagged with what was practised • This week drawn as notes on a staff: a filled note for every day the goal was met • A streak that keeps going as long as the goal is met each day, and stickers to earn along the way • Several players on one phone: brothers, sisters and grown-ups too • Add a session by hand for practice away from the phone. It is marked as added by hand, so the log stays honest • Notes on each session: what was practised, what the teacher asked for • A practice sheet for the teacher, as a PDF or a spreadsheet, for a week, four weeks or a year, with a line for a parent's signature • Optional recording, per player: play a session back or share the recording with the teacher. Recordings stay on the phone and are removed after 30 days unless you keep them • One reminder a day at a time you choose, skipped once everyone's goal is met • A running session on the iPhone Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, and a Start practice button for Control Center (iOS 18). NOTHING LEAVES THE PHONE The sound is checked on the phone as it happens and thrown away. Nothing is recorded unless you turn recording on for a player, and recordings are saved on the phone only. No audio is ever sent anywhere, and there is no account to make. One honest limit: music from a speaker sounds like practice too. Practice Proof hears that music is playing, not who is playing it. Free, with a banner on the home screen. There is never an ad on the listening screen.
