PRAYER TIMES AND ALERTS See Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha for today, and a 45-day timetable for the days ahead. Times are calculated with the official method used in your country, and you can adjust any prayer by a few minutes to match your local mosque. REMINDERS, YOUR WAY Choose the takbir, a soft tone, or nothing at all, for each prayer, on each day of the week. Turn alerts on for every prayer in one tap, or keep Fajr quiet on weeknights and on at the weekend. Choose the takbir once or twice, at standard or louder volume. ACCURATE QIBLA, ANYWHERE The direction is calculated using the great-circle bearing to the Kaaba — the same method used in navigation — so it stays accurate whether you are a few kilometres from Mecca or on the other side of the planet. The distance is shown in kilometres and miles. DAILY WISDOM Each day brings a hadith, one of the 99 Names of Allah, a short Qur'anic verse or a supplication — in Arabic, with its source and a translation in your language. GOOD TO KNOW • Prayer times need Precise Location turned on for Show Qibla, because an approximate location can shift them by a minute or more. • In a few far-northern regions, where the sun barely sets in summer and reliable times cannot be calculated, prayer times are not shown. The Qibla compass works everywhere. • If the needle drifts, move your phone in a figure-8 to recalibrate. Magnets in cases and car mounts can interfere.
