Riron Okuri helps candidates for the Japanese Certified Public Tax Accountant exam (税理士試験) check how well they can recite tax law theory. Import your own theory PDF. The app re-flows the text in large type and keeps the text hidden. Turn the dial at the bottom of the screen and the text appears from the left as far as you turn: recall what comes next, then check it. - Turn with one finger to reveal as much as you turn; use the outer ring or two fingers to move by paragraph. Turn back to hide the text again. - While you are first memorizing, you can skip the text inside parentheses: each one shows as (略), so you can learn the outline first. - Pick where to start from chapters, theories and headings, and resume where you stopped. - Swipe left or right to move to the next theory. The heading dial lets you recall only titles and headings. - Headers, page numbers, statute numbers in parentheses and commentary sections are removed. Red text stays red. - The statutes of nine tax subjects are included: the Income Tax Act, Corporation Tax Act, Inheritance Tax Act, Consumption Tax Act, Liquor Tax Act, National Tax Collection Act, and the inhabitant tax, enterprise tax and fixed asset tax parts of the Local Tax Act. Each article is one theory, and all of them are free (main provisions only; source: e-Gov Law Search). Works with text-based PDFs that have bookmarks. Scanned PDFs and password-protected PDFs are not supported. PDFs and progress stay on your device. Depending on how a PDF is made, line breaks, headings or fractions may not be laid out exactly as in the original. We fix such cases in updates as we find them; please let us know through the support page. Free version: the first half of one imported document, plus the bundled sample and the bundled statutes. Full version (one-time purchase): any number of documents and all theories. The app's interface is in Japanese. Theory PDFs are not included.
