Rucking 30: Workout Tracker

Rucking is walking and exercising with a weighted backpack. People do it for the same reason they hike with a pack: your legs, back and lungs work harder than on a plain walk, and nothing has to run or jump. Rucking 30 brings that home. Load a backpack, put it on, and follow a short session in your living room. Five, ten or fifteen minutes, your call each day. After a few weeks with the pack on, most people notice: • Stairs and hills take less out of you • Your legs and hips feel stronger, especially getting up from a chair or out of a car • You stand taller, because carrying weight on your back trains the muscles that hold you upright • A brisk walk no longer leaves you out of breath • The pack that felt heavy in week one feels normal, so you add more You don't need to be in shape to start. A backpack with a couple of books or water bottles is enough for the first week, and a weighted vest works too. You decide how much to add and when. On days you're tired, pick the short session and the easy setting. It still counts toward the thirty.
