SIX RULE SETS • Hong Kong (Cantonese): chow, pung, kong, flowers, fan scoring. • Taiwanese 16-tile: five sets and a pair, tai scoring, dealer streaks. • Chinese Official (Guobiao / MCR): 81 fan patterns, 8-fan minimum. • Riichi (Japanese): riichi, dora and red fives, yaku and han/fu scoring. • Sanma: three-player Riichi. • American: Charleston passing and jokers, played on the Sifang card, our own card of hands.
