SVX Portal

SVX Portal is a desktop monitoring tool for the SVX Reflector network — a widely-used voice talkgroup system for amateur radio. It gives operators a live, at-a-glance view of every node on the reflector: who's online, who's talking, where they are, and on which talkgroup — all from a single window. SVX Portal connects to any SVX Reflector instance over WebSocket and renders the state of the network in real time. A sortable node table shows callsigns, locations, last-heard times and an at-a-glance talkgroup matrix. A live OpenStreetMap shows where each repeater and hotspot is, color-coded by activity. Click any marker to see its frequency, CTCSS tone and sysop details. You can also listen to live audio from individual talkgroups. The Listen bar appears below the title bar with one button per active talkgroup; click to start, click again to stop. Audio is streamed as Opus over WebSocket and decoded locally for low-latency playback. By default SVX Portal connects to the Belgian SVX Reflector, but a single "Reflector" field in Settings lets you point at any reflector — the app auto-derives the WebSocket, portal and stream URLs. Talkgroup and callsign info refresh automatically from the configured portal at launch and every 8 hours. AI-detected "virtual" callsigns are highlighted with a blue dot. Active talkers appear as a live ticker in the system tray. The title bar shows a red "Update" pill whenever a newer release is published. SVX Portal is free, open source (MIT licensed) and developed by amateur radio operators for the amateur radio community.
